We invested in brand new premises in 2012, resulting in a state-of-the-art practice. We are also proud to be a disability-friendly dental practice. Our clinic has been designed to be fully accessible for disabled patients and wheelchair users.

Dr. Mori Shahid

Clinical Director & Principal

Smile 4 U’s clinical director and practice principal, Morvarid (Mori) qualified from Sheffield Dental Institute in 2011 and subsequently gained membership of the faculty of dental surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons.

Since then she has continued to further her studies in post-graduate education, and successfully completing the Diploma in Implantology at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute at UCL.

Mori enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and her relaxed and gentle manner makes her ideally suited to complex cases. She takes a special interest in dental implants, having trained in the latest techniques at Eastman, including immediate implant placement using CT-guided surgical stents.

Mori has accreditation/membership with the following organisations:

  • General Dental Council
  • Member of the joint dental faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons
  • Invisalign certified practitioner

Outside of dentistry, Mori’s work in genetics and research has been published numerous times in a renowned scientific journal.


Maryam Shahid

Practice Manager

Maryam holds an MBA in applies her skills in Dental Practice Management and brings over 18 years of extensive business management experience to our team. As a CQC-registered practice manager, Maryam is deeply committed to realizing Smile 4 U's vision and values while aligning with GDC principles.

In her pivotal role, Maryam is responsible for the implementation of strategic initiatives, cultivating a cohesive and welcoming team, and consistently delivering the highest level of customer service. Her unwavering dedication ensures that every patient's journey is marked by a seamless and friendly experience.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Maryam finds joy in spending quality time with her family, exploring new destinations through travel, and enjoying social interactions with her friends.


Dr. Gaurav Madahar

Gaurav graduated in 2016 from Bart’s London. He completed his MJDF shortly after and his embarking on MSc in dental implantology at Bristol University. He is extremely passionate about dentistry and always looking forward to provide the best treatment for his patients. In his spare time he enjoys going to gym, cooking and also a drone enthusiast.


Dr. Shima Ghazi

Dr. Shima Ghazi boasts an impressive dental career spanning six years across three different countries. Her dedication to the field, extensive knowledge, and a consistent record of ranking first in her endeavors have set her apart.

With a primary focus on elevating patient care, Dr. Ghazi has made substantial investments in her professional development. Currently enrolled in a Restorative Dentistry Master's program at the University of Birmingham, she is honing her expertise in areas commonly encountered in clinical practice:

  • Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics (Crowns)

In addition to her clinical skills, Dr. Ghazi also offers non-surgical anti-wrinkle treatments, teeth whitening services, and adeptly handles simple surgical extractions. Furthermore, her ability to connect with younger patients has earned her a commendable reputation.

Outside of her dental pursuits, Dr. Ghazi finds solace in reading, meditation, traveling, spa visits, and swimming. Her aspiration is to establish a home in Victoria, where she can provide enduring, high-quality dental care to the wonderful residents of the neighborhood.


Dr. Richard Goulart

General Dentist - Special Interest in Orthodontics

Dr Richard Goulart qualified in dentistry from the University of Pontificia Uiversidade Catalocia de Campina in Brazil in 1986. For the first part of his career path, he practised dentistry in Sao Paulo of Brazil and in Lisbon of Portugal, gaining knowledge and experience in his special field of interest, orthodontics. He then moved to live and work in the UK and in the last 20 years of his professional life, he has been exclusively working in orthodontic dentistry for adults and children. He has vast knowledge and experience in providing conventional orthodontic braces and the new short-term orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign and other clear aligner systems such as SureSmile. He is currently accredited as Platinum Elite provider of Invisalign.


Dr Goulart keeps himself well up to date with latest developments and technologies in the field of orthodontic dentistry by regularly attending courses and maintaining his knowledge through Continued Professional Development. He is a very strong believer in the least invasive techniques and methods for orthodontic treatments.


He is a well-spoken and mild-mannered person that connects well with his patients. He listens well to his patients' concerns and works hard to address them while having their best interest in mind. He believes that a functional and a beautiful smile, not only has a strong impact in maintaining a good oral health, but it also contributes enormously to one’s confidence in everyday life, both socially and professionally.


Fathima Ria Iqbal

Dental Therapist and Hygienist

Passionate about educating and assisting her patients in improving their oral hygiene, preventing gum disease and increasing the longevity of their teeth.

In her downtime she enjoys travelling and movies.

Mihaela Maciuca

Mihaela qualified as a dental hygienist in 2018. Having started her career in dentistry over 20 years ago as a dental nurse, she went on to qualify as a dental hygienist because she felt she could do more for her patients. Mihaela is a pasionate dental hygienist, recognised for her dedication to her work and patient-centred approach to all care provided. She has been providing a vast range of treatments, including stain removal and teeth whitening but, she is particularly passionate in treating patients with periodontal disease. Mihaela prides herself on how she has helped patients regain their happy smiles and become more confident through supporting them in taking control over their oral health. In her free time, Mihaela enjoys spending time with her daughters and husband, travelling and shopping.

FAQs

  • Appointment cancellations

    If you are unable to attend your appointment, please notify the practice either by telephone or email as soon as possible so that your appointment can be allocated to someone else. 48 hours’ notice of your cancellation is required.

    There is a full charge of the apointment fee for missed or late cancelled appointments.

  • Failure to attend

    We understand that circumstances arise that may prevent you from attending your appointment and informing us. Our practice policy in relation to failure to attend appointments allows for three missed appointments. We will be unable to see patients who fail to attend 3 of their appointments. If you do not give at least 48 hours notice of cancellation for a private treatment appointment, you may be charged. If you arrive late for your appointment you may not be seen. If you have informed the practice that you may be late, we will try to accommodate you. However, you still may not be able to be seen, as this will be at the discretion of the clinician.

  • Your rights as a patient

    We will treat all of our patients equally, with dignity and respect. We will provide to our patients, during opening hours, all proper and necessary dental care and treatment which includes mandatory services and urgent treatment. The care provided will be any that our dental practitioners undertake and that which the patient is willing to undergo. All patients are entitled to a written treatment plan and treatment that is clinically necessary and in the patient’s best interests. Patients in need of referral will be referred to appropriate services.

  • Confidentiality & patient records

    Our practice operates a confidentiality policy. A copy of our confidentiality policy is available on request. All patient information is recorded and stored securely. Only designated members of our dental team and the PCT have access to your records. A court order can be issued if the police or social services are required to see your private information. NHS Business Services Authority and NHS Counter Fraud department may also have access to patient information.


    All patients have access rights to their personal information under the Data Protection Act. To obtain copies of your information that the practice holds, please contact the practice in writing. You may wish to view your original documents, or photocopies can be taken; please speak to a member of the team for further information.

  • Violent and verbally abusive patients

    We expect a safe environment for both our patients and staff members. Where a patient has committed an act of violence or behaved in such a way that any person has feared for their safety, we will report the incident to the police and notify the NHS that we will no longer provide services to that patient.

  • Patients who refuse to pay dental charges

    To secure your treatment appointment, we require payment upfront at the time of booking. Additionally, we kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. Please note that failure to provide sufficient notice may result in the loss of your deposit.


    We may refuse to begin treatment or cease existing treatment if a patient refuses to pay the appropriate charge.

  • Repeated cancellations or non-attendance

    Under the NHS system introduced by the Government on 1st April 2006, any patients failing to attend or cancelling three appointments with less than 48 hours notice or not settling their account on time may not be offered further appointments.


    This also applies to any patient who has not attended the surgery in the past 24 months.


    Please note that patients who fail to attend their initial appointment (registration/examination appointment) may not be re-booked.

  • Practice Fees - NHS

    Band 1 (£26.80)

    Covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish, and planning for further treatment.


    Band 2 (£73.50)

    Covers all treatment covered by Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).


    Band 3 (£319.10)

    Covers all treatment covered by Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
